Real Ale
Note that this Beer List is for 2011. Looking for the 2012 list?
We will open with our largest ever range of around 500 beers of varying strengths and styles from all over England, Wales and Scotland. As with any beer festival, stocks will tend to reduce over time and so the full range is unlikely to be available on succeeding days. The opening beers will however be supplemented or replaced with a further 100 different beers from opening time on Saturday. These beers are identified in the beer list with Sat in red type next to the ABV and will NOT be available before Saturday.
Local breweries within a 30 mile radius of Kings Meadow will all be featured on a separate "LocAle" bar to highlight Reading CAMRA's LocAle scheme. The distance was chosen to cover the breweries that are eligible for the scheme somewhere in the branch which operates a 25 mile distance from pub to brewery. There will be a blind tasting competition to choose the best locally brewed beers.
The styles of beer are colour-coded in the table to make it easy to spot the styles you prefer
